Researchers are being working upon such a technology through which you would be able to charge your cell phone battery via the vibrations around you.

Vibrations are present around us in many forms. They might be coming from a fan hanging above your head, from a nearby working machine, from hustling of crowd around you or may be from your throat itself when you speak. Any disturbance in air around us is called Vibration.

Using these Vibrations the researchers at Virginia Tech are designing a charger that draws energy from a common piezoelectric material. The main characteristic of this material is that it converts vibrations in energy.

Scientists all over the world are being indulged in finding different ways of generating energy using the environmental vibrations.
