Symptoms of Swine Flu

What is Swine Flu?
Swine flu is a respiratory disease caused by viruses that infect the respiratory tract of pigs. Biologically, it is called as Swine Influenza (as it is caused by Influenza virus). Swine Flu can last about one to two weeks in pigs that survive. It was first isolated from pigs in 1930's in the US and has been recognized by pork producers and veterinarians to cause infections in pig worldwide. In most of the cases, the people who are more engaged with pigs.

Symptoms:

1) Sore Throat:
    Sore Throat is pain or irritation caused in the throat.

2) Cough:
A cough is a sudden and often repetitively occurring which helps to clear the large breathing passages from secretions,  irritants, foreign particles and microbes.

3) Body Ache:
This is also known as Myalgia, or Muscle Pain. In this, the person experiences pains in differents body muscles.


4) Chills:
Chills is the feeling of coldness occurring during a high fever, but sometimes is also a common symptom which occurs alone in specific people.


 5) Fatigue:
Fatigue is a subjective feeling of tiredness which is distinct from weakness, and has a gradual onset.


6) Fever:
It is also known as Pyrexia, or Febrile Response. In this, the body temperature is above the normal range due to an increase in the temperature regulatory set-point.


7) Headache:
It is also known as Cephalagia. It is pain anywhere in the region of head. 


8) Runny Nose:
It is also known as Rhinorrhea. It is condition in which the nasal cavity is filled with a significant amount of mucus fluid.



So, if you are finding above symptoms happening to you then you should run to a doctor and have a check up.
Always remember, Prevention is better than cure.
