The waiting of world thinnest keyboard that had to be revealed has now finally come to an end. This keyboard was presented by Cambridge based CSR at the IFA consumer electronics event in Berlin.

This keyboard is basically a wireless technology that is greatly in demand now a days. Some cool things about this keyboard are ::

  • Responds to touch and gesture control (can be used under a piece of paper to describe notes made with pen and syn them to a computer)
  • Can be used with pen for handwriting recognition and drawing
  • Wireless touchscreen
  • Thickness - half a millimeter thick
  • Flexible
  • Wirelessly connected using CSR1010 chip

CSR's director Paul Williamson said that the primary focus would be that it is brought out be lightweight, complementary external keyboard for tablet devices.
Although the final form of this depends on the manufacturers on how they give it a final touch.

People would get to see it in different shapes and sizes, from small ipad to a rigid one for desktop pcs. The one shown in Berlin was the first glimpse of a working keyboard and according to the company it would be available to purchase in the next 12 months.

CSR's research has done a lot in wireless field and their success moves are still on an increase.
